The location, the grounds were always neat and tidy. The fact that they had smoking allocated areas. A nice quiet country getaway.
The only thing we didn't like was that there was no allocated parking space for your car, eg, if you were staying in room 300 there should be a parking bay numbered 300 for your car, we found it a bit confusing and daunting, but at the end of the day it is not a big issue we still enjoyed our stay.
Wednesday evening was very noisy until around midnight due to a karaoke evening. The next morning at 06:30 a group of people went for a swim in the pool which is located right under the bedroom windows and obviously wake everyone. There were vomit spats on the bathroom door and everything in the room is old and in need attention. Even though it is a budget room you’d expect the basics to be intact.
Central location, quiet room, convenient parking.
Outside public areas would benefit from a little upgrade such as flooring and pathway renewal, removal of leaf litter.
Good sized room and decent bed quality
Cleaning standards were poor. The advertised BBQ facilities were non-existant. The rate was way too high for what was offered.
Hotel no problem,Patrons and staff all very friendly.
It is budget accommodation at a high price, in my opinion. Mining boom is having its effect on place.
Location and price
Room was not that comfortable, nowhere to hang clothes, noisy air conditioner, noisy fridge, noisy fan.
The staff in the hotel and especially in the restaurant were excellent. Restaurant food was also great.
The rowdy crowds of workers smoking, drinking and swearing right outside our room. Late night fights including smashing bottles...
The staff at hotel Kununurra were exceedingly helpful and friendly, we arrived in town at 8.30 in the morning after an all night bus journey, the staff went out of their way to clean our room asap and check us in at the earlsiest time possible, very much appreciated. Hotel Kununurra is also central
Hotel Kununurra is attached to a bar and although the rooms are away from the bar you would still hear it on the odd nights they have a live band.
